Thank you to my sweet husband for taking over this blog for the last two weeks. As you can tell, it has been very low on my priority list! I hope you all are not tired of our millions of pictures of our little angel, but we are struck by how small and precious she is, and want to capture every minute and every facial expression that she makes. Update on me: I am feeling great! I am trying to take it easy because I know that I had major surgery, but I am feeling so good that I want to be out and about! So I have to listen to my mother and mother-in-law when they tell me to take it slow for a while. And I am trying to catch up on that much needed sleep that new mothers (and fathers) don’t get enough of (although last night Adelyn slept for 5 hours in a row before I had to wake her to feed her!). Zac has been so good to help me get to bed early by taking Adelyn when he gets home from work. Also, I don’t know what I would do without my parents and Zac’s parents (and Grandma Brassfield!) help the past 2 weeks. I am so grateful for our family!
A few days ago, I heard a song that made me think about my beautiful daughter Adelyn. So I made a little video of the first few weeks of Adelyn’s life set to the song. I hope that you enjoy the video and don’t cry as much as I did!

Andrea, Adelyn, and I are back at home and trying to adjust to our new life together. Andrea is recovering very well from her C-Section and is becoming more and more active every day. I have this week off work to take care of the mommy, baby, and get everything situated. The break from work has been good especially since sleep has been rare. Adelyn is adjusting to life outside the womb quite well. Even with all the poking, prodding, and flash bulbs of friends and family, she is still being a little angel and we feel lucky to have her in our home. Time and time again Andrea and I look at her and remark how lucky we are to have a perfect and beautiful little girl. Thank you so much for your outpouring of love and support. We miss you all and wish that you could be here to meet our little girl. Here are some more photos.

Adelyn is such a great baby. She has been an angel and we love looking into her sweet eyes and staring into her beautiful face. We have received a lot of feedback about the baby from the baby announcement that we sent out and everyone wanted the same thing; more pictures. In an effort to appease the masses, here are some new ones.

We welcomed our sweet baby girl into the world on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 6:26 PM. Her name is Adelyn Amanda Taylor. She weighed in at 6 pounds and 11 ounces and she was 19.6 inches long. Both Andrea and Adelyn are doing great. Although it was a long and emotional day, seeing the birth of a child is an amazing experience. Here are some photos of our little angel:
