New Cowboys Stadium

Sometimes we wonder why we moved back home after college. Technically we are one city away, but we spend a lot of time in our hometown. It’s strange to think that our kids could go to the same schools we went to, and sometimes we feel a little like “townies”. We go back to our high school to see my sister in the school play, or a choir concert, and see all these parents of people we knew there. This isn’t a bad thing, because we love where we grew up, and we love where we are now. But it’s funny to see how this little town changes, yet so many things stay the same.  One thing that will always be the same is high school football.

People in Texas just love football. We went to the playoff game yesterday at the new Cowboys Stadium, and there were THOUSANDS of people there. It made me proud to be in a town that supports the high school kids so much. We mostly went to see the stadium, but we stayed for the whole game because it was so good! And we got to sit in the cushy seats, which we would never get to do at a real NFL game. Apparently, they are like $400 per seat per game. We took the baby, and she was surprisingly good! She just sat in our laps and ate crackers, and made friends with all the people sitting around us. She just waves and waves at people all day long. I’m glad she is so friendly.

The new screen is really as amazing as people say it is. It is so huge, and such good color and quality, it looked better than the real thing. So even though we were on the 15th row, 50 yard line, I found myself watching the jumbo screen most of the game. Plus it’s fun to see the little details that the camera captures. It was a great game, and we won, so we’re going back next week for the next playoff game!

How huge is that screen?

High def, but the camera still makes you look wider
