I am so excited for my brother Scott to come home tomorrow from his 2 year mission to St. Louis Missouri. It is so awesome that he was able to share the gospel and serve the people in Missouri, but I have missed being around him the past two years. Plus I am excited for him to meet Addie. Things that are great about Scott:
- He has four sisters and no brothers. You have to respect a kid that grows up in a family of all girls and turns out normal. He endured dressups, barbies, putting on plays, dances, etc.
- He loves to wakeboard and snowboard, and he is amazingly good at both.
- He loses everything. Seriously, he would lose his own head if it was not attached to his body.
- He is an awesome musician. He picked up the guitar and the piano pretty much on his own and plays really well. Plus there was that little stint with singing in high school that no one saw coming.
- He has the best sense of humor. It is not loud and obnoxious, just clever, and usually comes out of nowhere.
- Speaking of clever, he is really smart. He always tried to one-up me in high school with grades and stuff, and usually he did. Except we got the same score on the ACT. That really set him off.
- He would watch Boy Meets World with me in high school, and quote the funny lines to each other, while my parents looked at us like we were crazy. Yes, we watched the Disney Channel in high school, and you can admit it if you did too. We’re not ashamed.
- He is totally unselfish. The summer that Zac did his internship at GT, we were trying to decide where to live for the summer. Scott gave up his bedroom so that we could stay with my parents, just so we’d be around more.
- He has shared his testimony of God and Jesus Christ a lot while on his mission, and it has in turn strengthened mine.
