We had such a busy Memorial Day! Adelyn woke up early that day (around 6am instead of the usual 6:30am). We went to Walmart around 6:30 to get some stuff for the big Memorial Day bash we were going to at the Brassfield house. Zac left right after that to go golfing with my Dad and Gavin M. They were gone quite a while, you know, doing guy stuff, while Adelyn and I hung out around the house and did girl stuff. Like baking and laundry. We made these amazing fruit pizzas that I saw (and loved) at Brittany’s baby shower. Was it Abbie who made them? I think so, but whoever it was, thank you! They were so cute and so yummy!
We went to the BBQ around noon and ate until our tummies were full! I just love Memorial Day Barbecues. There is nothing better in the world, especially when the weather is as good as it was on Monday. And swimming. Well, you saw how Adelyn liked the pool. Then we went to the Frisco Roughriders game that afternoon. It was so hot! We had to lather Adelyn with sunscreen and make sure she wore her hat, which she was a pretty good sport about. There is also something about baseball that just screams America to me. So it was a good Memorial Day. Except……
I almost lost my much-loved Canon camera when I stuck it under my chair at the game and left it there! You would not be able to see these pictures if the nice man at the ticket window didn’t search the lost and found, the security booth, and finally my seat in the stadium to recover my lost camera. Thank you, Mr. Amir.
